We are looking for a Senior Brand Strategist to play a pivotal role in crafting and executing innovative brand strategies that resonate with consumers and drive results for our clients. You will lead the development of brand strategies, creative briefs, and strategic recommendations while working closely with various departments including analytics, creative, client services, and technology. Your insights will guide the creative process, ensuring that our work is both strategically sound and based in data. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, strong collaboration and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Brand Strategy Development: Lead the creation of brand strategies including positioning, architecture, journey mapping, and innovation initiatives.
  • Messaging Strategy: Analyze the brand’s goals, audience insights, and competitive landscape, then develop key messages that communicate the brand’s unique value proposition across all channels.
  • Brand Story Development: Combining the the brand’s origins, challenges, and successes, create a compelling and consistent narrative that resonates with the target market and distinguishes the brand from its competitors.
  • Research and Insights: Conduct and lead primary and secondary research, including surveys, focus groups, and stakeholder interviews, to uncover actionable consumer insights.
  • Customer Journey: Translate research into customer journeys that provide insights into how customers think about a brand and make decisions.
  • Creative Brief Development: Craft and refine creative briefs that inspire impactful ideas rooted in strategic insights.
  • Trend Identification: Develop real-time, data-driven platforms to identify trends and insights that inform creative strategies in response to social conversations.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as a key client-facing strategist, guiding clients through complex strategic planning and presenting strategic points of view.
  • New Business Support: Assist in new business efforts, including developing pitch decks and supporting business development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communication, or a related field
  • 6-12 years of experience in brand strategy, with a strong background in advertising or branding agencies.
  • Self-starter mentality who delivers results
  • Insight-driven mindset and detail-oriented
  • Great communication, facilitating, and presentation skills
  • High level of experience in customer research, brand strategy, customer journeys, and message development.
  • Ability to apply conceptual strategy, brainstorm facilitation, and day-to-day directing of projects through completion. Proven experience creating strategies that are executable through creative expression
